I recently purchased my own copies of
- The Adventures of Tom Sawyer - Mark Twain
- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - Mark Twain
- To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
Mostly because they’re classic and I still don’t have them for some reason, but also because of the rumour that they’re going to get re-printed without certain words that are frequently used.
I’ll be posting an actual rant post about this, but I needed to get my hands on originals before the entire meaning of the books got cut from existence.
WHAT?! WHAT???!!! If anyone changes a single word of To Kill a Mockingbird… I’ll… just… ATTICUS FINCH! YOU CAN’T CHANGE ATTICUS FINCH! This might not actually happen, and I’m getting worked up over nothing, but hey, if so— INTERESTING. *ponder face* VERY INTERESTING.
We’re reading Huck Finn in school now, but I have not quite grown to love it so far (I am two. pages. in.)
